Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). It follows a structure that allows me to teach you about trauma and copings skills, followed by facilitating a narrative in which you tell your story, and then help you re-process it. In the end we work on safety planning to help you feel more confident facing the world. Although this is a structured modality, we can adapt it to apply parts as needed.
Relational Therapy
How you experience your relationship with your therapist can have a direct effect on the progress you make in therapy. By modeling communication skills, mannerisms, body language, verbal language, and mindfulness during social interactions I may be providing you with an opportunity to learn new ways to re-engage with others around you.
Existential Therapy
I use this lens when clients are searching for their purpose, trying to make sense of their circumstances or life events, or going through change. When something shakes our world up this can help you figure out where you want to land.
